Good Operators: ESG Advice Hub
Practical ESG for small businesses that want to do better.
Who is Good Operators for?
Good Operators is for small businesses that want to embed ESG into what they do. Some may have been asked about their environmental or social efforts by a customer or as part of a tender. Others just want to do better and bring their values into their operations.
You don’t need any ESG experience, and you don’t need an ESG person to hand it to. You work through it one piece at a time, with someone who knows the subject alongside you.
What’s included.
A quarterly workshop in March, June, September and December. We look back over the last 90 days: what you did, what worked and what didn’t. Then we plan the next 90 together, with your targets and who does what. You leave with a written 90-day plan. The December workshop is a full day, and we also set your goals for the year ahead.
A private Facebook group. Recordings, materials and a template library all in one place, with room to start or join conversations. New theme specific templates added each quarter.
A WhatsApp broadcast. Short reminders of what’s coming up and what to do next. It’s one-way, so there’s no chat to keep up with.
A monthly live session. Each quarter has an ESG theme, one area such as waste, modern slavery or reporting, which we work through over three months. In the first month we turn the theme into steps your business follows, and decide what records those steps will leave. In the second we bring your team with you. In the third we check it’s working and set up the records. Every session finishes with one thing to do afterwards.
A drop-in clinic every fortnight. An open 2-hour slot. Bring a question or a problem specific to your business, ask for advice on the quarter’s theme, celebrate a win or just have a chat.
Every session recorded. If you miss one, or join part-way through a quarter, you simply start with the recordings.
The benefit to your business
It’s embedded into your plan.
Each quarter’s ESG theme sits inside your businesses 90-day planning cycle, so it becomes part of what you’re already working towards.
It gets built into how you work.
Each theme becomes steps in your processes, jobs for your team and records you keep, so it’s part of the day-to-day.
The evidence builds as you go.
When a customer or a tender asks, you can show what you’ve done, instead of pulling it together in a rush.
